Kayaking Kansas City

Last year for my birthday i got my first kayak.I was a little nerves seeing that i have never bean in a small boat like a kayak be for so i was looking for good paddling spots i went up to Smithville lake
mo.I stopped at the lake visitor center got a map after looking at it for a wile i decided to go to access point 14 after getting lot and turned round i found it.IT was a pretty cool spot the road died into the lake so i got all my gear out put in and set out to get comfortable with my surroundings i got hot so i went back to get in the water after about five minuets of wadding in the water a car pulled up with a kayak on top then another and another and another .My first time out the was a group of kayaker's there to practice safety one of them asked me if i wanted to join i replayed it's my first time out i would.After a wile the were ready to paddle around man i don't think i could of had better luck i had so much fun on the lake that day.It was starting to get dark so we all went back to go thy asked me if would like to do this again.For the rest of the summer we met every Tuesday @ six we had a blast!
